Welcome Back to Somerly for 2026!

It was so wonderful seeing the kid’s happy faces as they started back at school yesterday. We’re truly looking forward to a positive year ahead, and to sharing it with you and your families.

Wednesday 4 February – Weekly P&C Sausage Sizzle

Thursday 5 February – P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM) 
6:00 pm | Staff Room

Come along for our first gathering of the year! We’ll elect our 2026 office bearers, welcome new faces, and share what’s ahead. Everyone’s welcome – no need to RSVP, bring the kids if you like. Friday 6 February – Celebration Assembly

Our very first assembly, where the 2026 student leadership team will be introduced. Parents and carers – we’d love to see you there.

Friday 13 February - Resilience Project Assembly
8:45am | Students Classrooms

Students and families will be introduced to the Resilience Project - Please feel free to join your children in their classroom where the students will be watching introductory videos to explain the program and what they can expect.

• Community Pantry – Open school hours in Block 1 (next to Room 4). Free food for any family who needs it – please help yourselves.
• Breakfast Club – Coming back soon! Free, tasty breakfast 8:00–8:30 am on selected mornings.

A laid-back, fun way to kick off the year! Join us for a picnic with a sausage sizzle, ice cream, music, and games as the sun sets. Especially great if you're new to Somerly – come meet other families in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
