The P&C isn't some mysterious organisation - it's just mums, dads, grandparents, and carers who care about our kids' school experience.
Some of us run the sausage sizzle. Some organise discos. Some just show up to help when they can. There's no pressure and no judgement - everyone's welcome, however much (or little) time you have.

Here's what people usually want to know
Do I have to pay to join the P&C?
Not at all! Membership is only 1 dollar for the year! We believe every parent and carer should have a voice in our school community, regardless of their ability to contribute financially.
How much time do I need to commit?
Whatever works for you! Some parents help at a single event per year, others join our committee. There's no minimum requirement - even helping at one sausage sizzle or breakfast club makes a real difference.
Where does the money raised go?
Every dollar goes directly back to Somerly Primary - school bus excursions, playground equipment, music instruments, classroom resources, Year 6 events, and so much more. We work closely with teachers and the principal to fund what matters most.
I'm new to the school. How do I get started?
Welcome! The best way to start is to join our Facebook group or come along to our next event. Everyone's friendly and we love meeting new families. No experience needed!
What do I get to do as a P&C member?
As a member, you get a say in how we support the school - from voting on funding priorities to helping plan events. You'll help decide how funds are allocated to best benefit students and families, and work with the school to bring amazing programs to our kids.
