A heartfelt thank you to Kylie Wilson for her years of service and support of the Somerly community.

On behalf of the Somerly Primary School P&C, I’d like to sincerely thank Kylie Wilson as she steps back from her role with the Association.

Kylie has been part of the P&C across several years, contributing her time in a range of ways to support both our students and the wider school community - and we’re truly grateful for the part she’s played during that time.

Executive Service

Kylie served as Association Secretary throughout 2024, and also stepped into the combined Secretary/Treasurer role for part of 2025.

These are busy, behind-the-scenes roles that keep the Association functioning day to day - and they rely on volunteers who are willing to put their hand up and help where it’s needed most. We thank Kylie for the time, care, and commitment she brought to supporting the committee in these roles.

Food Programs & Canteen Support

Kylie was also involved in the Canteen Subcommittee, supporting some of the P&C’s most visible services for families.

Across 2023 and 2024, she led the coordination of both Wednesday Sausage Sizzle and Breakfast Club - two initiatives that many of our students look forward to each week. From organising volunteers to helping everything run smoothly, Kylie played a valued role in keeping these programs going for our school.

Community Pantry

Kylie has also been a regular supporter of the Somerly Community Pantry, assisting with restocking and collecting donations from Foodbank and local stores alongside other pantry volunteers.

It’s work that often happens quietly in the background, but it makes a meaningful difference for families in our community - and Kylie’s support has been an important part of keeping the pantry operating.

With Thanks

P&C volunteering takes many forms - governance, food programs, fundraising, and community support - and Kylie has contributed across several of these spaces during her time with us.

We’re very appreciative of the time and effort she’s given to Somerly, and for the role she’s played in supporting our students and families along the way.

Thank you, Kylie - your contribution to our school community has been genuinely valued, and we wish you all the very best moving forward.
