Mother's Day

Coordinates the Mother’s Day stall, giving students the chance to purchase gifts for their mum or special person, with additional raffle fundraising.

Volunteers Helping at the Mothers Day Stall

The Mother’s Day Subcommittee is an ad hoc (short-term) committee established each year to coordinate the school’s Mother’s Day stall and supporting fundraising activities.

Its primary focus is delivering the Mother’s Day gift stall — a much-loved school tradition that gives students the opportunity to purchase a gift for their mum, carer, or another treasured person in their life.

The stall provides an inclusive and meaningful way for students to celebrate Mother’s Day while learning about giving, gratitude, and community spirit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering the Mother’s Day gift stall within the school
  • Selecting gifts suitable for a range of budgets and family situations
  • Coordinating pricing, logistics, and stall operations
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers to run the stall
  • Ensuring an inclusive experience for all students

In addition to the stall, the subcommittee also supports a smaller fundraising raffle initiative, which includes:

  • Seeking donations from local businesses and community members
  • Assembling raffle hampers
  • Coordinating ticket sales within the school
  • Representing the P&C at community ticket-selling opportunities, such as the Bunnings Mindarie Mother’s Day evening

All fundraising activities are conducted on behalf of the P&C Association and in line with governance and compliance requirements.

As an ad hoc subcommittee, the group disbands following completion of the stall, raffle activities, and submission of its final report.

Through its work, the Mother’s Day Subcommittee helps create a memorable experience for students while contributing valuable funds back into the school community.
