Easter

The Easter Subcommittee is an ad hoc (short-term) committee established each year to plan and deliver the Somerly Primary School P&C Easter raffle.

The raffle is a key community fundraising initiative that brings together families, local businesses, and supporters to raise funds for P&C projects and school improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordinating the Easter raffle across the school and wider community
• Seeking donations and prizes from local businesses and community supporters
• Developing and assembling raffle hampers and prize packs
• Coordinating ticket sales within the school community
• Representing the P&C at community fundraising opportunities, including selling raffle tickets at events such as the Bunnings Mindarie Easter Night
• Ensuring all fundraising activities comply with relevant legal and ethical requirements
• Providing financial and activity reports to the P&C Association

As an ad hoc subcommittee, the group disbands following completion of the raffle and submission of its final report.

Through its work, the Easter Subcommittee helps build community partnerships while generating valuable funds that directly benefit the school.
