Help support our Year 6 students by volunteering for a short shift at our Bunnings sausage sizzle on 6 June. Every bit of help makes a real difference!

The Somerly Primary School P&C is excited to be hosting a sausage sizzle at Bunnings Mindarie on Saturday, 6 June to help raise funds in support of our Year 6 students and their 2026 camp and leavers’ activities.

This year, instead of one single camp event, Year 6 students will be taking part in a series of exciting activities and experiences across the year, with one major event each term. While this gives students more opportunities to make memories together throughout their final year at Somerly, it also means there are ongoing travel and activity costs involved for families.

The P&C is proud to be contributing toward each of the Year 6 activities across the year to help reduce costs for families and support participation wherever practicable, ensuring all students have the opportunity to attend and be involved.

These experiences are an important and formative part of the students’ final year of primary school, and we’re incredibly excited to help support and celebrate their commitment, growth and accomplishment as they work toward completing their primary school journey at the end of the year.

So far this year, the P&C has already contributed:

  • $600 toward reducing bus costs for the Year 6 beach swimming and Yanchep Caves excursion
  • A further $235 toward reducing the cost of the Yanchep Caves excursion itself
  • A free sausage sizzle and juice box lunch to all year 6 students at the Yanchep Caves excursion

To help make this fundraiser a success, we’re asking our amazing school community to lend a hand on the day. We would especially love support from Year 6 families, but all parents and carers are very welcome to volunteer, and every bit of help is genuinely appreciated.

Even volunteering for a short shift makes a huge difference and helps us raise more funds directly for the students.
