🌭 Introducing Our Brand New Sausage Sizzle Ordering Website!

Over the past few months, the Somerly P&C team has been working behind the scenes to build a brand new sausage sizzle ordering system - and we’re excited to finally share it with our school community.

Our goal has been to make ordering more convenient for families, reduce repetitive admin, and give parents more control over their orders, while keeping everything familiar and easy to use.

New Weekly Subscription Option (Most Requested Feature)

We’re excited to introduce a brand new weekly subscription option, designed to make sausage sizzle ordering even easier for busy families.

When placing an order, you’ll now see the option to subscribe. This allows you to automatically place a sausage sizzle order for your child/ren each week without needing to reorder each time.

How it works:

• You’ll be charged the day before each sausage sizzle
• You won’t be charged during school holidays or on weeks when sausage sizzle is not running
• You can skip weeks or cancel at any time
• You can edit selections or postpone orders easily
• No account is required - everything is managed via your secure order link

If subscriptions aren’t for you, that’s completely fine. One-off orders continue to work exactly as they always have and remain available to all families.

Now Remembers Parent and Child Details

To make repeat ordering faster, the new system can now remember your parent and child/ren details when you return to the order form.

By default, your details are remembered on your device so most of the form is already filled in next time you order. You can opt out at any time if you’d prefer not to use this feature.

Edit Orders and Manage Subscriptions with Ease

Every order confirmation email now includes a secure management link that gives you full control over your order.

Using this link, you can:

• Edit your order details up until the order cut-off time
• Postpone a one-off order to a later date
• Manage an active subscription, including:
  • Changing ongoing order selections
  • Skipping upcoming weeks
  • Updating payment methods

This means far fewer emails back and forth, and much more flexibility for families if plans change.

As a backup, the same link also includes a contact form that allows you to get in touch directly with the canteen coordinator if you need assistance.

New Menu Options

Based on family feedback, we’ve added some new choices:

• Gluten-free bread option now available
• Bottled water option available as an alternative to juice boxes

We’ll continue reviewing menu options and feedback to ensure we’re supporting student needs.

The weekly sausage sizzle is one of the P&C’s biggest ongoing fundraisers. Every order helps fund resources, equipment, programs, and experiences that benefit all Somerly students.

As an ACNC registered charity, every dollar raised by the P&C is reinvested directly back into the school community. From playground upgrades to classroom resources and student programs - your support is absolutely massive.

Families are always welcome to attend P&C meetings, share ideas, ask questions, and see firsthand how funds are being used to support our students.
